Title: Re: Cutie Honey 1?

I've recently been introduced to the fabulous world that is Cutie Honey in all of her various forms. I'm fairly certain that I am asking way too much, but Sailor Spork seems to be the only place making Cutie Honey subs, and I've become obsessed. I am in the process of downloading the subtitled live action movie (I've had the raw for a long while), and Re:Cutie Honey 2-3. According to AnimeNfo, there is three Re:Cutie Honey specials. Has Sailor Spork (or someone else) released Re:Cutie Honey 1?

I've been searching for information regarding Cutie/Cutey Honey to see what is available and what isn't. If someone can correct any mistakes in this, I'd appreciate it!

1973: Cutey Honey (25 episodes) - Sailor Spork is working on this (7 episodes currently)
1994: New Cutey Honey (8 episodes) - Released in U.S. by ADV
1997: Cutey Honey Flash (39 episodes) - Sailor Spork plans to do this series.
2004: RE:Cutie Honey (3 OVAs) - Two available from Sailor Spork
2004: Cutie Honey (live action film) - Available from Sailor Spork

Aside from the manga and an upcoming series that has been unreleased, but licensed by ADV (though this was announced in 2001), am I missing anything?

Welcome to another Cutie/Cutey Honey Fan!

Re: Cutie Honey 1 was released by Kuraki-Fans & AnimeForever.

AnimeSuki is a great reference for fansubbed series, the Re: Cutie Honey torrents are listed on page http://www.animesuki.com/series.php/469.html

New Cutey Honey was two 4 episodes OVAs, which, in Japan, weren't published the same year. I'm not aware of any other Cutie Honey series. She's a guest star in others Go Nagai series, but, as Go Nagai work is quite hard to find, I don't know more. There's at least three mangas (Cutie Honey, Shin Cutey Honey, and Cutie Honey Flash.) For the games, there was Cutey Honey FX on PC-Engine FX (not really a game, more an anime,) and Legend of Dynamic: Goushouden on GBA.

Thanks for helping me figure out all of that. It sucks that the Re: Cutie Honey's weren't all done by Sailor Spork (or all by that other group, for that matter) because they're not as consistent. But, I guess inconsistent is better than nothing at all!

So, Sailor Spork is planning on subbing all of Cutie/Cutey Honey aside from what is available in the U.S. That is good to know. I'd love to help, but I don't speak Japanese. I know how expensive Japanese DVDs can be (I buy them frequently).

Anyway. I can't wait to see more! I'm downloading Cutie Honey Flash #2 as I type this.

The "New Cutey Honey" series from ADV iprobably fell through, or we'd have heard something by now. Unless they were involved in Re: CH and didn't tell anyone, or get credited for it, which is highly unlikely. I'd personally love to see any or all of it get licensed so I could go buy a nice, happy english-subbed DVD quality copy to watch, but I doubt it'll happen (especially with '73). A new series would also be interesting... redo the Cutey Honey TV series from the manga with all the ecchi that Go Nagai meant it to have... kinda like Shin Getter Robo '04 (I'm still waiting for R1's, ADV! :P).

The CGI Cutey Honey series didn't get made. It was apparently cancelled or something. Y'know with all the magical girl shows ADV has been getting, I'm shocked they haven't gotten Flash.

ADV, Toei just made remasters go and get 'em!
