Now that the Sailormoon anime license has expired in the US, I am HOPING and PRAYING for one thing: That a group of people who love the series as I do will step forward and put forth the time to do a proper and complete fan sub of the entire anime series.

The American DVDs were all sub-par. Mediocre video and audio quality, frequently terrible subs, almost no special features at all, et cetera.

I'm not familiar enough with the current running fansub community to know the answer to this: Does anyone know of a fansub group that would perhaps be brave enough to touch this series? I have most of the Region-2 Sailormoon anime DVDs and I plan on getting the rest of them. I would be more than happy to provide the DVD-rips for the fansubs to be placed on.

I would love Sailor Spork to do it, since I love the Sailor Spork subs. But I know that Sailor Spork has a large workload of current series, and I wouldn't want them to get distracted, since no one else is touching Cutie Honey. But I don't know where else to ask.

I know it's a long shot, since people seem to hate Sailormoon, or think that the terrible American DVDs are "good enough" (which I disagree with). And it's my life's work to see this series treated the way that I feel it should be.
